Who we are
Banbridge Community Cinema is a non-profit, volunteer-run pop-up cinema bringing a fresh alternative to the big screen. We showcase independent, world, documentary, and less mainstream films — the kinds of stories you don’t often see at the multiplex. Our screenings take place in unique venues around Banbridge, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for film lovers of all kinds. Whether you're a curious first-timer or a seasoned cinephile, you're invited to join us for thought-provoking films and good company.
Founded in 2024 by Giles Conlon, former Manager of the Iveagh Movie Studios, Banbridge Community Cinema was born from a simple idea — to keep the magic of shared cinema alive in our town. With the help of a brilliant team of volunteers (and a lot of enthusiasm, popcorn, and community spirit), we’ve turned cafés, restaurants, and local spaces into pop-up movie nights where stories shine and neighbours connect.
